Hi, I'm Tony VK2TS from Primbee Australia.

I am active with the following equipment: On HF a Icom IC7600 Transceiver and a Acom 1000A Linear Amplifier. I now have the 1KW addition to my licence on the Primary allocations although at the moment I can only run 500Watts due to the power ratings of my polyphaser lightning suppressor. The new suppressor should be here soon. The equipment feeds a 3 Element Tribander for 20/15/10Metres and its up at 14 Metres on a wind up tower. I also use a 1/2 wave 80metre dipole fed with 450 Ohm ladder line on 80, 40 and 160 Metres. On 6Metres I use the a 3 element yagi at 15Metres. On 2metres I operate a Icom IC910H 2m/70Cm Transceiver and a 170watt All Mode RF Concepts 2metre amplifier with preamp. This feeds a Diamond X510 2Metre/70cm vertical Collinear or a Cushcraft 11 element horizontal 2metre yagi with rotator at about 16 metres.

Hope you like the view over Lake Illawarra to the west from my back balcony, it's a great place to watch storms roll in and i have seen some BAD ones. My other passion is my 6 Speed manual 6 Litre (370Cu In) V8 VE SS Commodore. She has had some tasteful modifications to increase the power output such as sports mufflers and a OTR cold air intake whilst still retaing the MAF sensor. She should produce about 300KW now. More mods to come now she is out of warranty and when I can get my hands on the software for the engine management and get her onto a Dyno :)

I'm the president of the Illawarra Amateur Radio Society and a member of the WIA. I think all Australian Amateurs should support the WIA and their local radio club. Those that complain and who arent members of the WIA annoy me no end. The only way amateur radio will survive is with an organised body like the WIA representing us all to the government. Most of the time you will find me on the local 2 Metre repeater on 146.850Mhz negative offset. The repeater also has IRLP node 6018 and echolink via VK2TS-R which I host from my home QTH. If you hear me, give me a yell.
