I carried my trusty 5W FT-817 and set up a dipole between trees (or whatever was available) each evening for contact with my "carers" VK2FWGJ and VK4BNQ.

I recently added a TS-50S 100W transeiver and a SG-230 Smartuner. I work this into a 20m long line. I am in training for next year's walk East to West across OZ for NETS www.jeffswalk2.com.

I am available as a guest speaker to amateur radio clubs and others (eg. Scouts, Walking Clubs, etc.).
