Bangalore VHF group as it was known in 80s conducted various activities in Vhf & Uhf viz the Foxhunts, Hill Toppings, Digipeater, Packet Radio workshops, antenna workshops, etc.
This hyper active groupformed the Repeater Society of Bangalore in Feb 1987.
Self financed and put up the first Vhf Repeater VU2RSB in bangalore and a few months later shifted VU2RSB to Nandi Hills 60 kms north from Bangalore.
Nandi Hills is a small Hill station with a elevation of 4800 ft.

Bangalore City needed another Vhf Rptr for local use hence VU2TWO was installed in 1988 atop the Public Utility Bldg ( 24 floors ) M G Road in the heart of the city.
This has been serving the local hams and visiting hams, also good for Dx upto 300kms
Evening Vhf Net is conducted daily
2030-2100 Hrs on this rptr while morning net on VU2RSB
