Hi! I am Udaya. on the Air my hande is Uday.

My QTH in the heart of Pune city in the western part of India 130km South East of Mumbai (Bombay).

I operate on 2m, 10m, 15m, 20m and 40m regularly.

I got a Grade 2 ticket in the fall of 2005 with a call sign VU3UPQ. From then on I have beenactive on VHF andoften I canbe heard in Mumbai(Bombay) and into south Gujarat over the Matheran Repeater .

I got a Grade-1 ticket with a call sign VU2UPQ in June 2008 and since then I have also been active on HF SSB.

With rigs being commercial, I have been experimenting with home brew antennas and their components.

My working conditions:

For VHF I use a ICOM 2100 with a home brewed 1/4 wave groundplain antemma hoisted about 30m from the ground.     

For HF I use a Kenwood TS 50S with a dipole in a butterfly format for 20m and 40m with a single feed, also hoisted about 30m from the ground. Presently I work 10m and 15m with the help of a ATU.

Professionally I am a Consultant and Projects Manager in Interior Designing and Space Improvement.

About Pune - My QTH.

It is about 130kms South East of Mumbai (Bombay) by road. Pune exemplifies an indigenous Marathi culture and ethos, in which education, arts and crafts, and theatres are given due prominence. Considered the seat of North Indian Classical music, Pune annually hosts in the month of December, a three night long cultural program of vocal and instrumental classical music, called "Savai-Gandharva".

Pune is an example for the blending of culture and heritage with modernisation andthe side effects of it. It is an industrial city now emerging into a metro and is a auto ancillary and an IT hub. The city was always respected for its high standard of Education and the educational facilities it offered. Pune isoftenalso refered to by some as the OXFORD of the EAST.

VERY IMPORTANT : I do understand that a QSO is not complete without a QSL CARD. But since I am not into collection of QSL Cards,if you need a QSL card, after a QSO with me, you need to send me a QSL Card first and you need send it to me directly.
