Hello to everyone. My call sign works out good for one of my favorite places,The Iowa State Fair. 11 days of the fair and ham radio! I am also into scanning/monitering and the fair is a smorgasboard of RF 24 hours a day. I have worked for Coca-cola as fleet mechanic,Pittsburgh Des Moines Steel as a fitter/welder, Hauled swinging meat in 48 states, owned Mark's Automotive for 8 years, worked as a pipefitter for Firestone Tire and Rubber and now own Mease Construction and run heavy equipment with my oldest son. Some days I run a shovel too. Yeah, down in the trench. I like old tractors and equipment and also SPRINT CARS. We attend the Chili Bowl in Tulsa every year which is 300 MIDGET race cars on a 1/4 mile indoor track. I am also a regular at Knoxville raceway and hope to do a special event station during the nationals. Of course my favorite special event station is the State Fair which is in August, 11 thru 21-2011. I have a lovely bride of 37 years, 4 children, all grown and 4 grandchildren,all fun!
