Our QTH is minutes from Jupiter Inlet. Our town's landmark lighthouse was the site of the US Navy's second wireless station, established in 1905. The Bahamas are just 100 km to our East. We moved from Long Island to Denver Colorado, and then to Florida in 1991. I've been a ham for 50 years. My first "real" station was an SX-71 and a converted ARC-5. I am an ARRL Volunteer Examiner, and gratefull for the enjoyment and friends made in our great past-time. Spending more and more time on CW, especially QRP, and occasional contesting, I opted for a shorter call through the vanity call sign route. I enjoy CW, plus a good conversation on SSB. I enjoy building gear, but have too many other demands on my time. Current equipment: Ten-Tec Orion, Yaesu FT-1000MP, Alpha 78 linear amplifier, and Steppir vertical (40-6M) w/ 35 radials; I still havent gotten around to installing the 80M base coil conversion. I also hold Peruvian call OA4DS and operate when at our home in Miraflores-Lima PERU. Equipment includes Icom IC-7000 and S9 vertical antenna .Hope to work you again.
