My early interest in radio was in the late 40's in Milwaukee building crystal sets. Joined the Navy and got my General ticket W9WMA in 1953 . Served 3 years at Cheltenham Naval Radio Station in MD as a maintenance Communications Tech (CT). Discharged in 1956 and set up a surplus ARC 5 and BC454 on 80M. Got my extra class in 1961. Moved to Camp Hill, PA near Harrisburg in 1976 and got my present call W3DP, an old call (3DP) from the Philly area during the spark days of 1914. I have worked CW mainly for 58 years, QRO and QRP. Built a number of kits when I retired in 1998 from AMP Inc. Recently got on PSK-31 with my FT-840, Signalink and Digipan. Rag chewing now is my major interest on CW, PSK and some SSB . Present station: TS-590S, FT-840, Cushcraft R7000 vertical and an end fed L wire for 80M. You can find me most often on 40M CW early mornings. 73, Dick W3DP ARRL, A-1 Operator, NAQCC #742, SKCC #6196, WAS, Golden Jubilee DXCC
