First licensed in 1951 as W1UIZ in Salem, CT. Operated extensively on 2m and other VHF/UHF bands. Conducted many contest operations with W1WID from Mt. Equinox, VT and Mt.Monadnock, NH. Employed by RCA in Lancaster, PA in 1955 and issued the license W3FEY. Worked for RCA on color picture tube development and related display technologies. RCA was purchased by GE in 1988 and then sold to Thomson S.A. of France. Worked for GE/Thomson on computer data collection and control systems in Lancaster,PA, Scranton, PA, Marion, IN, and Mexicali, Mexico. Managed several factory process data web sites. Retired from Thomson April 2005.
