Hello, my name is Bobby Hobby and I have been a ham for about 34 years and I hold an Extra Class amateur license. My original call was KA4DPF until a recent change to W4KN. Now my 14 year old grandson hasthe KA4DPFcall. I work most bands and modes. My station consist of Icom IC-7600 driving an Icom PW-1 amp, and a Kenwood TS-2000 driving an Ameritron ALS-600. (picture update coming)The antennas are an 8 element Cushcraft ASL2010 log periodic beam at about 60 feet, a 5 element Cushcraft A505S 6 meter beam at about 65 feet, a Cushcraft 13B2 VHF beam at about 70 feet, and a Hustler G7 VHF vertical omni at 75'. These antenna's are on a U.S. Tower TX455 crank up/tilt over with a Yaesu G-800 DXA rotor just outside the shack. I have a full size 160-10 meter Carolina Windom on another structure at about 55 feet for the lower bands. The station is completely computer controlled with the exception of of the Ameritron ALS-600 amp which I have to change the band switch. I originally got the TS-2000 because of its computer and remote control capabilities and started to learn about networking to help a fellow disabled ham friend of 34+ years (WD4LYV) ( http://www.wayneharrell.com ). Our stations are tied through VPN networking so we both have control or aid in control or either station. Look him up on QRZ to see more about him. I am a charter member of our local radio club, W4PVW,( http://www.w4pvw.us ) Coastal Plains Amateur Radio Club (CPARC) located in Tifton, GA. We are a small club but about half of our membership are very active hams enjoying most of the modes that are popular today. We operate a VHF repeater on 147.285 (+600) located just west of I-75 about 8 miles north of Tifton. There is also a DSTAR repeater / gateway on 444.56250 + 5 Mhz &1282.6500 -12 Mhz & Digital Data on 1299.000 Mhz.
