I live in College Station, Texas, "5" land, not "4" land. My callsign belonged to my late Uncle Frank who was more like a Grandfather than an Uncle. I never got the chance to talk with him by radio as I got my license after his passing. However, I do talk on a radio that he helped me purchase.

I have been the Brazos County ARES Emergency Coordinator since April of 2009. I am also Texas State RACES unit #63-041A. Most of my radio equipment remains portable and can be moved to a remote location at any time. Beside generator power, I maintain between 400 and 500 battery amp hours capacity, and have solar power charging capabilities. With the recent addition of a D-Star repeater, I can be found on the W5AC___B repeater.
