W5AC is aware of the license expiration, and is waiting on the NCVEC 605 form in the mail.

W5AC is the Texas A&M University Amateur Radio Club. This club, founded in 1912, is one of the oldest university radio clubs in existence. Some of our prized posessions include QSLs dating back to 1920's and 1930's (that were actually sent to OUR call, and not just purchased at a swap-meet!), we have a collection of very old QSTs, our station logs dating back before World War II, and even some old gear like Model 19 RTTY!

Currently our club is changing shack location for the renovation of the MSC at A&M. Please send QSL to the following address:

Texas A&M Amateur Radio Club
Student Organization Finance Center
Texas A&M University
125 John J Koldus Student Services Building
Mail Stop 1236
Slot #427
College Station, TX 77843-1236

We have a fairly active club with wide variety of interests represented. Members do fox-hunts, home-brew equipment, APRS, operate in digital modes, cw, we're fairly active in major hf/vhf domestic contests. We have equipment to work satellites, and will have computerized antenna control very soon. Every year we try to participate in the Field Day. We also have antenna parties to repair or install antennas.

We always give warm welcome to visitors and newcomers, so feel free to join us at any time, even if you're not a licensed Ham. If you'd like to join the club or attend our next meeting, check our web-site, or e-mail the officers for next meeting time. A lot of intra-club communication takes place over the listserve, which can be freely joined.

When you're in town, feel free to contact us on our 146.82(-) repeater. We also have a local digipeater.

If you need a QSL, we QSL 100% with SASE to the address above. In the move, we have recently discovered some QSL's and we are in the process of responding to them.
