I have been licensed since 1956 starting out with a Novice call of KN9DGE and then in 1957 upgrading to K9DGE. In 1961 I enlisted in the US Marine Corps and spent considerable time during my enlistment working at the Camp Pendleton,CA. Marine Base Amateur Radio/Mars station W6IAB. In 1965 I applied for a California callsign and received my present call W6BSF. I am a member of QCWA holding their 50th anniversary and 50 years continuously Licensed Awards. I also hold DXCC,WAC and WAS awards amongst others. I am retired and enjoy being an active member of our local Ham Radio Club called the: "USS Cobia" amateur radio club(NB9QV),The 5 Sullivan Brothers amateur radio club (W0FSB),Our local Ares/Races group(W9RES) as an AEC, NEWDXA (Northeast Wisconsin DX Association),QCWA Chapter #219 and Wisconsin Special Olympics(Manitowoc County)coaching various sports. My equipment presently consists of a Kenwood TS 570D, ALS 600 Amp., Mosley TA-33-M-WARC beam at 46 ft. and a W9INN all band dipole. 73's and Semper Fi. Fred W6BSF
