Susan Meckley, PO Box 1210, Pahrump, NV 89041. Now 76 years old!!

Please excuse my voice.had throat cut while in Alameda, CA.voice box put back together, but voice is badand it tires easily.thus I operat mainly cw

At 0500z I am on 14036 most evenings

Got new FM radar, uses 1/10th watt with better resolutionsure.I'll wait till I install it to see just how good it is.

ELMER, my african gray parrot first mate has been stolensad loss. He was family.

Spent ten days in ICU at Army hospitallong recuperation timelooks like my sailing days a put on hold.(Looking for early fall departure, that is if leg heals ok) But at least I am still here.seems like KH3 is put off againbut dont worry, I will make it.

FANTASTICRELATIVES have contacted me.I am NOT the last of the clan. Discovered Cousins on east coast. It is nice to email with relatives and recall the past.

Now in Honolulu in the "black hole of Hawaii" as far as ham radio is concerned. WIll be here till receive ok to land at KH3  Left for KH3 but 3 days out Got tooth ache and returned to Honoluluhad oral surgery and am now frightened of hurricanesso delay till end of hurricane season.don't fret.I will be there.

HAWAII.NAVY PEARL HARBORbest darn marina in Hawaii.

5 Jan 07Tried to start engine for trip to Johnston Island., starter, solenoid, and ignition switch burnt upwow all that smoketalk about Panic timeanyway, they are now replaced and I should be on was in a couple of days (Mid Jan) Having Diesel Mech check out engine for me.glad it did not happen on Johnston Island.

Did delivery of Hunter 420 from Alameda, CA to Pearl Harbor. It was a pleasure, I normally am single handed. Had 3 person crew on this 24 day tripwent south of Baja and then west to Pearl Harbor.great trip. *********I operate KH6BB from USS Missouri quite oftenusually 14028 on CW.

Got personal problems cant leave KH6 yet.then Johnston island, Marshalls (for hurricane season), Kwajalein, couple of atolls in Marshalls for new IOTA, then Tarawa, from there who knows.

Watch for W7KFI/???? or any south seas call ending in KFI

************************************ Two day trip to Honolulu.lots of rain (what else?).came down the channel between Oahu and Maui at Dawn so there were only 15-20 foot waves with only 30mph winds.nice sleigh ride to Honolulu. Very impressive passing Diamon Headbut when Entering Pearl Harbor Navy Base my engine overheated so I was visited by the base security boat and boarded for inspection.then the "assist" boat came out and towed me into Rainbow Bay Marina (Navy).

WOWwhat a marina.nicest facilities I have seen anywhere, head and shoulders above Paradise Village Marina, Puerto Vallarta Mexico. *****

Next stop will be Johnston Island (now un-inhabited) for a rest stop and then on to Woje Atoll in Marshall Islands. *********************************** LEFT MEXICO April 28th.36  day (3600 mile) passage to Hilo, Hawaiifantastic reception, radio interviews with Art Bell (Coast to Coast AM), local radio.BBC for their shortwave program "OUTLOOK".front page of local paper (Tribune Hearld), even complimentary food at Kens pancake house

I have never been anywhere where there are so many friendly people. Truly if there were a Marina here, I would go no further. will be on 14028 and 14240, yl network, and 14300.My operating schedule is: Things have been so bad down here that there are:14028 cw, 14240 SSB usually around 0230Z. Propogation to the mainland from Hawaii (20 meters) is usually only 5pm local to 8pm local.

. If you need a specific prefix, let me know, I will try to work it in.

Current plans are for FO Australs,Marquesas,Tahiti.
