I often get on the air for about 15-20 min at a time and make quick contacts (mostly on 40M phone), if you hear me, give me a call.

I am SKYWARN trained and active in reporting severe weather in Southeast Michigan. I am interested in and active in all forms of emergency communications and am willing to help out wherever and whenever I can. I am also involved in Oakland County ARPSC (Amateur Radio Public Service Corps.) and I am RACES certified.

My XYL, Piper - W6ZZU is a lead Net Control Station (NCS) for Michigan Inter-County Operational Network (MICON) as K8DTX Operating from the National Weather Service (NWS) in White Lake, Michigan where she takes reports from SKYWARN trained amateur radio operators from 17 counties in Southeast Lower Michigan and relaying reports directly to NWS meteorologists.

Current Radios - Icom 746Pro , Icom 207H, Icom 208H (Stolen), KDK FM-2016A, Motorola MT-1000, Yaesu VX-170, Wouxun KG-UV3D. My favorite band is 6M but I also enjoy 20M, 40M and 10M. I enjoy Contests and chasing DX but you can find me on 40 Meters from 7.175 - 7.210, 146.55 FM simplex and on the 146.84 Clarkston Repeater.

My antennas are - G5RV-JR at 15 feet (40/20 meters), Antron 99 Ground Plane at 25 feet (17/15/12/10 Meters), 6 Meter Par Omni Loop at 25 feet, Homemade 2 Meter horizontal loop at 25 feet.
