Aloha from Hawaii !!!

The pictures above are of Waimanalo Beach Park where I often operate from using End Fed Verical Dipoles ,and Vertical Yagis.

Waimanalo is located at the east corner of the island of Oahu about 6 miles from my home QTH in Kalama Valley (Hawaii Kai).

For each band I use a monoband end fed dipole which is made by Chuck NH7XL as part of our EARC Antenna Matchbox project.

At one end of each dipole there is a fixed match box which allows a plug and play connection to a 50 ohm coax with very low or no SWR without having to use an external antenna tuner.

Chuck also makes an end fed UNUN which allows multiband operation on 80-6m on a single wire 30 feet or longer , or 40-6m on a 24 feet wire.

The UNUN brings the feedpoint impedencae of the wire to the matching range of an external antenna tuner often built into solid state rigs.

These UNUNs are described on our EARC web site at: http://www.earchi.org/proj_homebrew.html

We hang our antennas at the water's edge supported by telescoping fiberglass poles or off trees.

Vertical Dipoles within a half wave distance to the salt water work well for long distance DXing because of their low angle takeoff.

I am currently also 4X1AI (www.qrz.com/db/4X1AI) and am

ex: 4Z4NAI,4Z4AI,4Z4AI/W3,4Z4AI/W6,4Z4AI/W7,4Z4AI/KH6,N7BKU & AK7Q

Moved to my new QTH on Sept 6th 2002 which makes me the most Eastren Ham on the island of Oahu. My new QTH is at:

1157 Honokahua St. Honolulu, Hi , 96825

The best way to receive a QSL card from me is to QSL direct.

Due to the volume of cards I receive I can only reply to cards which are sent

with the appropriate return postage or a green stamp or IRC to cover the postage.

At the home QTH inland I am currently running a TS570D and a TL922A and regular center fed horizontal dipoles.

I experiment with antennas so you may hear me with atdifferent antenna at different times. I often operate mobile from

some of the most beautiful beaches on our island . Operating veryclose to the ocean over super grounds really helps the signal and the

pileups.

Have been an avid Ham for over 45 years during which I had anopportunity to travel on business and pleasure and operate from

many countries and DX locations. It has also given me the uniqueprivilage to meet many very nice and interesting Ham Operators

all over the world.

Ham Radio got me very interested in Telecomm Technologies and as you can see at: www.comtest.com I am pretty involved with it in my proffessional life.I am Particulary interested in Antennas Design.

Warmest Shaloha (Shalom & Aloha ) and 73 from Wonderful Hawaii 6 Radio

Eran WH6R & 4X1AI
