WR7HLN is the club call sign for the Mac Pass Repeater Group. The system consists of several UHF repeaters and one 2-meter repeater in and around Helena and Western Montana. The first repeater was installed at our site on MacDonald Pass about 13 miles west of Helena. It is on 444.100 output and 449.100 input. A PL code of 131.8 is required. This is the hub repeater and others will be linked into it. Our 2-meter repeater co-located at this site is on 147.100+ and requires a PL code of 100.0hz to access. The second repeater on the air using the WR7HLN Callsign is located on Boulder Hill about 20 miles south of Helena. It is on 449.200 output, 444.200 input and also uses a PL code of 131.8. It is on the reverse split from MacDonald Pass in anticipation of an in-band link radio to Mac Pass. Additionally, an APRS Digipeater is located at this site and also operates under the WR7HLN callsign and operates on 144.390Mhz. The third repeater on the air using the WR7HLN callsign is located on Lombard Mountain near Toston, MT. It is on 449.300 output, 444.300 input and also uses a PL code of 131.8. It will soon be linked into the MacDonald Pass repeater as well. The fourth UHF repeater on the air using the WR7HLN callsign is located on the North Hills about 13 miles north of Helena. It is on 448.900 output, 443.900 input and uses a PL of 131.8. Our 5th Repeater is at Gold Creek Montana on 449.300, - offset, PL 131.8 Our latest repeater is located on Lookout Pass along I90 on the Montana/Idaho border. This repeater will work from Missoula, MT to Spokane, WA. It is on 444.200, + offset, PL 131.8.
