The Stafford Amateur Radio Association is located in Stafford County, Virginia (FM18). SARA maintains a system of three analog repeaters and four D-STAR repeaters, all which are located in the Northern part of Stafford County. The analog repeaters operate using a CTCSS of 79.7 Hz. We also maintain a packet node and an Echolink interface. Analog Repeaters & Systems (callsign WW4VA): • 145.270 (-) MHz -- Principal repeater; wide area repeater coverage in a 45 mile radius; hosts the Fredericksburg Area SKYWARN Sub-net. • 147.375 (+) MHz -- About to come back on-line on a new tower. • 444.450 (+) MHz -- Same footprint as the 145.27 repeater; connected to Echolink, node = 52256. • 145.550 MHz Packet Station (NODE = SARA / Mailbox = SARAMB) D-STAR Digital Repeaters (callsign WS4VA): • 145.320 (-) MHz (WS4VA C) • 447.275 (-) MHz (WS4VA B) • 1282.200 (-) MHz (WS4VA A) • 1298.400 MHz (WS4VA A-Data) SARA provides emergency communications support whenever requested to Stafford County (VA) and we have done so on several occasions. SARA is also involved in Field Day, VHF/UHF contesting, VE testing, and numerous community support activities. If you are in the area please visit with us on any of the above repeaters.
