My radio is a Kenwood TS- 2000, and a newTS-590,the tower is a 80ft. fold over, I built a 40ft. gin pole with an electric winch to raise and lower the tower, it can lay flat on the ground,on top is a home brew 4 element quad for 6 meters, I also have apair of stacked squalo antennas for 6meters at 75ft., a 160 G5RV, 80meter inverted V, 160 inverted L,and a dual band 2m-440.
I live on a 40 acre tree farm we planted 8000 trees, and restored a small wetland, we have 5 acres in the wetland reserve program, the first in Whitley county, Indiana. It took me 5 years to build the pole barn and house. I built the barn first to store material for the house. The house is earth sheltered, the front wall is cord wood 16 inches thick, and the wall between the house and garage is a 6 inch tamped earth wall.
