in front of Panasonic center (near tokyo big sight) after visiting Tokyo Ham Fest (August 2010)with Friends from ORARI Head Quarter notes : many qsl card were sent to many qsl bureau on 17 January 2012, thanks,
THE MOST SATISFYING THING WHILE DX ING IS WHEN A VERY FARAWAY STATION WITH RELATIVELY SMALL POWER AND ANTENNA COULD HEAR MY SIGNAL AND THEIRS ALSO COULD BE HEARD CLEARLY. This happens many times when propagation open widely,. a lot of signal from Europe and America Continent could be heard clearly in Indonesia.
Important notes: I have just move to Japan since 23 april 2010 for about 4 years. MY NEW JAPANESE CALL SIGN IS JG1WCT, I will (and always) replied every qsl card which arrived in my home (direct or via qsl bureau), so if anybody send me a qsl card and dont get reply yet, please let me know through my email : yb1fwo@gmail.com, I will verify and re send my qsl card if necessary. Since there is no reciprocal agreement between Indonesia and Japan concerning Amateur radio, probably for the next 3 year ahead (while in tokyo) I will just become a short Wave Listener (swl) operator and may only make communication through eqso in Indonesia room through my PC. hundreds qsl card sent on 1 april 2011 to many countries.
Hallo, My Name is Syarif. the first homebrew radio I built was an 80 meter band AM transmitter using transistor 2SA 669 and 2SA 671 as the final stage, that was a four stage simple transmitter (Oscillator, buffer driver and final). The antenna.using a long wire antenna (copper wire). That was done in early 1982, in my home town, Cianjur city - West Java, while I was in the 1st grade of Senior high Schoolsince thenI become an amateur radio operator. Untill now, it is already more that 27 years consecutively without interrupted as a member of Indonesia Amateur Radio Organization. I just change my call sign from YD to YC in 2004, and since march 5, 2010 become YB as this is the highest rank in Indonesian Amateur radio Hierarchy (Amateur Extra Class). The main reason I Upgraded my License was to explore more band, namely 20 meter bandand WARC band, since this band only for amateur extra class Radio operator (in Indonesia). So my previous callsign were YD1FWO and YC1FWO I have been following many activities since become the member of ORARI (Indonesian Amateur Radio Organization) mainly; fox hunting, dx ing in low band, contesting, electronics project making, antenna building, and so on. recently I really enjoying contest and dx activities in 3,79 MHz, 7 MHz, 14 MHz, 21 MHz and 28 MHz. I participated in contest such as JIDX contest, Oceania DX Contest, PACC contest, LZ contest, ARRL Dx contest, Russian DX contestand so on as well as National contest such as Old and New Contest For HF band, I am using Tranceivers as follow: Icom IC 718, Kenwood TS 670, Yaesu FT 817D, Yeasu FT 897D and also homebrew 80 M single band and homebrew 40 M single band trasnceiver. both were made by pak Gustaman, (YD1LXT) While for other band I am using Kenwood TR 9130,9000 (2M),TR 9300 (6 M), Kenwood TM 732 (2M and 70cm band). Many of my Antennas are home brew locally either by my self or my amateur fellow friends in Indonesia, two of them are YB0BCU, Yan (also a DX-ER) and YB1DYU In 10 M Band, I am using an open dipole (aluminium tubing),in 15 and 20 M Band I am using yagi (4 and 3 elemen), in 40 and 80 M I am using dual band inverted V antenna. QSL card as a final courtesy of Communication are welcome, prefered through LoTW, I also would like to thanks to N1MM and logger 32 owners for allowing us to use the sofwares Thank you very much Sincerely, YB1FWO Syarif Hidayat
