Operation DX-wise here is 100% CW, running my K3 driving an old Icom IC2KL linear. Antennas are very basic and limited by the usual suburban space problems. Currently I have a ground-plane for 20 metres, an inverted vee for 80 metres, a dipole for 30 metres, and a delta loop for 40 metres. Also for 40 metres, ( January 2011 ), I have built a quarter wave vertical with 6 elevated quarter wave radials. No commercial antennas have ever been used. I really enjoy playing with simple antennas. The picture shows me operating from the QTH of my good friend Les ZL2JU, with my K3 and his AL811 amplifier. I enjoy his small farm QTH, and we have many enjoyable times experimenting with antennas and contesting. This is a wonderful and unique hobby we all share, and I look forward to seeing you on the bands. I QSL 100% via the bureau and by return airmail, providing you send either $US2 or a current IRC. ( My QSL Policy : Whenever I work you on a new band, or for the first time, I will immediately QSL via the bureau, unless you advise otherwise. I do not plan to use Eqsl, but I will eventually put my log on LOTW. For contest QSOs, I have always QSLed as above, but I find it is taking too long to keep up with. From, and including the CQWW CW 2010 Contest, I will respond to received direct QSLs only. No bureau cards for contests please.) CU on the bands, and enjoy this wonderful hobby we have! Vy 73, Tony. PS During September and October 2011 I will use the prefix ZM2 to celebrate the Rugby Football World Cup which is being held here in New Zealand until October 23rd. All my 'ZM' QSOs will be QSLed with my 'ZM' QSL.
