I am a Professional Materials Relocation Technician( OTR Truck Driver) bynecessity and a Ham by choice.
First licensed in 2007, earned my Extra in 2009. I enjoy working the digital modes especially PSK-31. I have been working on my CW abilities and am starting to get the hang of it. Even though I got my Extra without learning code first I feel that I should make the effort to learn it. My station includes a Kenwood TS-520S at its heart, an MFJ tuner feeding a slinky dipole antenna in the attic. I use a homebrew interface to the TS-520S for PSK and RTTY from a refurbished Dell P4 computer. I have recently added an Icom IC-718 along with an Icom IC-207H dual bander. The shack continues to grow. I am use Ham Radio Deluxe and DM-780 as my logging and digital software. I use e-QSL for all contacts as well as Logbook of the World, logs are automatically uploaded to both of these services as contacts are made. I try to send out paper QSLs to most contacts but time seems to get in the way. If you need a paper QSL from me and haven't gotten one yet then just send me one and I will make the time to reply. I can be QSL'ed direct or through the bureau and will reply in kind. 73
