First licensed 1961 as G3OZF. Active mainly LF/HF bands, SSB/CW/RTTY/SSTV. Deputy leader of the Five Stars DXers Association 1998 9M0C, 2001 D68C and 2004 3B9C DXpeditions. Joint leader of 2007 3B7C DXpedition.

President of the Radio Society of Great Britain in 2000 and 2001. Past Chairman of BARTG. Past President of CDXC, the UK DX Foundation. Past Secretary of IARU Region 1.

Have operated from a number of IOTA islands, and also as 9M2/G3OZF, 5B4/G3OZF, VR2/G3OZF and P29VZF. Also held the call KF6FCD.

2009 operation from Austral Islands as FO/G3BJ and from Niue as ZK2BJ

2010 operation January as T32BJ

Now living in the South Shropshire hills, close to the border with GW, with plenty of space for antennas. Active on 1.8 - 50 MHz SSB, CW, RTTY and SSTV. Operate in contests using the WPX Contest Group contest call G5W.
