Once again Brigg and District Amateur Radio Club will be taking part in the special event Windmills On The Air over the weekend of 8th and 9th of May 2010.

The station will be active on the 70cm,2,6,10,15,20,40 and 80 meter bands on phone and there may also be some 4 meter operation.

About Wrawby Postnill

The Wrawby Postmill is located near the town of Brigg in the county of North Lincolnshire and is a landmark for miles around. The restored building was constructed in 1760 and is the last surviving postmill in the area and there is a small museum of milling tools.
When the mill is turned into the wind and the 30 ton mill is then turned using the tailpost. Six cast iron rollers fixed to the timbers at the base of the buck run on top of an oak curb on the round-house, and keep the whole mill steady.
