Thanks for looking up my callsign, K0YR. My home QTH is North Mankato, MN. Mankato is located about 80 miles SW of Minneapolis, in southern MN. If you are looking this up on the weekend, I am most likely at the cabin in Pine City, MN. (EN35) operating in a contest or working some DX. Pine City is located about 60 miles north of Minneapolis on I35. Previous callsigns include WN0VYK (late 60's), KC0PYK, K0PYK and now K0YR. My portable DXPeditions have included Maui, as K0PYK/KH6 in February of 2005 and 2006. In March 2007, I had the good fortune to operate portable in French Saint Martin as FS/K0YR. There is nothing like a pile up. 2008/03/30 Back from St Marten as PJ7/K0YR. This time we stayed in a villa on the Dutch side by Dawn Beach. The site was challenging as I only had about a 120 degree propagation window towards EU and AF. For 2009, we again went to French St Martin and stayed in villa just up from Orient Beach. Again, I was challengeed by the location. Operated mostly RTTY in EU which was a lot of fun. The Pine City, MN QTH now has 2 towers. I put up a 2nd tower with 3 element 40 meter beam. This beam was given to me by Art, N0TNJ. I am very grateful to him for his generosity. This antenna combined with the TH11 has started to round out my antenna choices.
