DX'er -- Update: December 2010 -- I remain here in Beijing China and have been here since mid-2007. HF operation is very sporatic due to difficulties in coordinating appropriate club station access. In China, despite much modernization, amateur radio remains difficult for most locals and as a foreigner I am not able to license, maintain or operate an amateur radio station legally at my home QTH. Sadly, in this regard, little has changed in the past 30 years of China being open.as far as ham radio goes anyway (as contrasted to all the vast economic improvements here in China which continue day by day, hour by hour). thus, I am radio-inactive. I do have a small station (RX only) set up which includes a Yaesu FT-857D, LDG AT-100PRO, MFJ switching PS, Vibroplex iambic paddles, and a "ham stick" styled mobile whip antenna (various bands) which is magnet mounted to a metal roofing truss. Former callsigns: DU1/K7JOE IN MANILA, PHILIPPINES (2000-2004) BV/N0IAT (Taipei, Taiwan 1995-1998), 7J1AOF (Tokyo, Japan 1992-1995), YU3/N0IAT(Ljubljana, Slovenia, former Yugoslavia 1989-1990) N0IAT (1987-1998) KA0ZDH (1986) I mostly work CW. I also am a biker and enjoy wrenching on old harley davidson motorcycles. See our motorcycle club web site: http://www.mdmcbeijing.com Last modified: 2011-11-11 21:47:47, 1410 bytes fetched
