Membership Requirements

Each applicant must hold a valid Amateur Radio License, possess current

10-10 International Net Membership, work a Santa Fe Trail Chapter qualifier
on the 10 meter Amateur Radio Band, and submit the required contact
information along with their own information to the Santa Fe Trail
Certificate Manager.
The required contact information is the Call Sign, 10-10 number, Santa Fe
Trail number, and point value of the membership qualifier worked.
The applicant's required information is their name, Amateur Radio Call Sign,
QTH, and 10-10 number.
If a membership number only is desired, the information may be emailed or
sent by regular mail to the Santa Fe Trail Certificate Manager. If sent by
regular mail, a self addressed stamped envelope must be enclosed for the
reply.

How to upgrade your Santa Fe Trail point value.

· Contact other Santa Fe Trail members on the 10 Meter band (any mode).
· Record their Call Sign,10-10 number, Santa Fe Trail number, and point
value.
· Record their HK number if their point value is greater than 499.
· Record their K number if their point value is greater than 999.
· Work All States using Santa Fe Trail member contacts. (You can use up to 5
Scouts as wild cards for hard to get states.)
· Work and submit the monthly Wagon Master & Trail Blazer before the 15th of
the following month. There may be both DX and USA Wagon Masters and Trail
Blazers for any month.
· Work and submit the Anniversary or other specials before the due date.
· Check into the weekly net. Bonus points are awarded yearly.
· If you are an IQ, have non-members use your number for an IQ.
· Keep your 10-10 dues current. Bonus points are given to current members
yearly when they send in an upgrade if current membership is specified.
Upgrade applications may be made by using the upgrade forms provided or any
other comprehensible format as long as the required information for the
upgrade applied for is given. Please give the totals worked to date, not
just the new items.
The upgrade application may be sent by regular mail or email. If an upgrade
application is sent by regular mail, send the upgrade information to the
Certificate Manager (KA9PCU) along with a Self Addressed Stamped Envelope.

Work the Monthly Wagon Master and Trail Blazer.

Submit the Call Sign and Santa Fe Trail number to the Certificate Manager
before the 15th of the month following the month that they were special.
These are worth 10 points each. Applications sent after the due date will
be returned without processing.

MAY BIRTHDAY SPECIAL.

Starting May 1st 0001z and ending May 31st 2359z, work as many Santa Fe
Trail members that have a birthday during this month as possible.
For this special, Club stations that are SFT members may also be used if
their control operator has a birthday during May.
These stations are worth 10 points each if their call signs and SFT numbers
are submitted before June 15.

Snail mail applications must be postmarked on or before June 15.
SFT members, who have a birthday in May, may use themselves for credit.
