My name is Doug. I'm a member of the Northern California Contest Club. I got my Extra Class license 06/26/2008. I like ham radio contesting, camping, fishing, hiking, geocaching, and pretty much anything else in the outdoors. I work at a college as a Computer Tech/Computer tutor. I got my license in 1994. I enjoy 10 meters, and I'm awaiting the sunspots to make that band go. I'm testing a 10 meter beacon (28.2403 Mhz) before I deploy it to the remote site. See my beacon page for more information.
Rig: Kenwood TS-850 I have a tower trailer that I use for contesting, built in May of 2009. I have a force 12 C3 beam on top. It is about 36 feet tall. I also have a 40 meter Vee and an 80 meter 120ft dipole attached right above the rotor.
See my tower trailer project website for more pictures and details how I built it. Hy home station has a 4 element Moonraker beam at 40 ft, 10 meter 1/2 wave vertical at 40ft, and a G5RV longwire at 35ft. Hope to catch you on the air. 73's de WE6Z Check out my web page for pictures of the station. http://www.qsl.net/kf6mwa
