Profile: Hi, my name is Simon, I live in the small market town of Ormskirk, which is 14 miles north of Liverpool in the North West of the United Kingdom. I suffer from "Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy" which is a progressive muscle wasting disorder forwhich there is no cure, and unfortunately it has left me in a wheelchair. Radio is my only hobby, I really look forward to receiving your QSL cards from all around the world
I took my foundation course on 26/4/04 and was licenced with the callsign M3MEA, on 9/8/04 I passed my intermediate course and achieved my 2E0MEA callsign. On 16/3/05 I took my advanced course, passed and obtained the callsign M0SPM. Thanks to: I would like to thank my family and my very good friends, Kath (M1CNY), Dave(M0OBW), Reg (G7DGH), Lee (G0DBE) and my Father, Paul (M3IIQ) for their continued support in helping me achieve my licenses and for erecting my tower and antennas and Dave (G4AKC) for creating this page.

My Turbo Wheelchair I currently operate a Kenwood TS-480HX through a 4 element steppir on a 75ft tower. I also have a SGC 500 Linear amplifier which produces 400W output and this is powered by two Palstar PS-50s in parallel. I operate on cw at about 12 wpm from 160-10m and use a yaesu FT-897 with 100w into a vertical antenna.
