I am equipped from 160 Meters to the 10 GHz band. I enjoy home brewing my own gear and operating the VHF/UHF contests. I organize an annual mini-DxPedition to Martha's Vineyard Island every May for the New England QSO Party, and have run special event stations from the tall sailing ships HMS Bounty and USCG Barque Eagle. Fun stuff! I have recently been found running 160, 80, & 40 Meter mobile.

As for the yellow car in the on-line QSL - Yup, it's mine! I used to race Pro Funnycar Mod Bog cars for 8 seasons all around New England and New Jersey, mostly on outdoor tracks. This 4WD car weighs in at just over 2,800 lbs with me in it, and is powered by a 1,100 HP, nitrous oxide fed, Chevy 454 that turns 9000+ RPM! I no longer own the car, but it was so much fun I just had to make it my QSL card photo.

I have been slowly constructing a kit airplane called a Glastar, and have my Private Pilot's license. I've had a great time flying Cessnas around New England while my machine is  being complete.

Check out my Ham Radio, Flying, & Racing web page at: http://webpages.charter.net/n1joy/

I am also the creator, owner, and primary builder of the infamous HAMCOW; HAM radio Communications On Wheels.  What started out as a replacement trailer for a dilapidated old camper, but turned into a formidable rolling communications center with all the comforts of an RV.  Check out the HAMCOW at:  http://hamcow.net
