I'd like to thank the ham society for all signs and words of support during hard days I've experienced in last years. Without this it is so much harder to get along. THANK YOU!!!

BIO NOTE:

Born in 1975 in Lesko - SE Poland, single (yet ;-) Working as a freelancer: website and DTP designer, press and radio journalist, professional photographer. Recently involved in international movie productions taking a place in Poland (i.e. The Chronicles of Narnia) responsible for location scouting, logistics, PR, and documentations reg. footage areas. Huge enthusiast of mountain hiking, travelling and all activities related to spending as much time close to the nature as possible. Interested in astronomy, new media and technologies, geography. Have been able to help to establish an astronomical observatory for students at the secondary school in hometown Lesko – the only observatory in the South-Eastern Poland.

The biggest hobby: HAM RADIO – the most interdisciplinary hobby in the world I guess. First license in 1993, upgraded in 1998 to full HF. Currently holding CEPT 1st Class License. Working always barefoot taught me to work in pileups efficiently respecting “the code of ham spirit”. Currently more than 300 entities cfm – all of them while working with a simple multiband vertical at home QTH in Lesko. Time to time operating as /p from the mountain glider airport in Bezmiechowa, 8km north of Lesko.

RIG & OPERATING:

After several years of break I've decided to operate cw again. Since then I’m a big enthusiast of that mode, even though my cw is a bit rusty (yet :)
Also active on SSB, RTTY, PSK etc. Thanks to John ZD9GI recently I've been introduced to cosmic modes of JT65 and WSPR ;-)

  • RTX: Icom IC-756 PRO III
  • ANT: vertical multibander HyGain AV-640 40-10m, also 5-band Spiderbeam for /p operation only
  • Digimodes: microKEYER II (+ Signalink USB as backup and /p)
  • MIC: Heil GM-4 studio line + Quiet Phones PRO (HC-6)
  • KEYER: Magnetic Pro by Begali, Bencher BM-1 (backup)

SQ8X QSL DESIGN

Time to time I design QSL cards. Some samples are available at: http://sq8x.net/ - all of them have been designed for free as my personal, voluntary input into the amateur radio hobby. So far, my voluntary work contributed such dx stations as VP6TD, ZD9BCB, Polish DXpedition to ZL7 (by SP5EAQ, SP9PT and SP9BQJ), CE0Y/JJ2NYT, ZS8T, VK9DWX, ZS3Y/ZS3V, K5D, VK9LA, XR0Y, 3B9/IZ4AKS, ZL8X, CY0/N0TG & Co. and T30RH/T30AQ.

I AM NOT THE QSL MANAGER OF JX5O, XR0Y AND ZS3Y ANY LONGER.

Please DO NOT send me any cards for JX5O, XR0Y or ZS3Y.

JX5O & XR0Y QSL MANAGER IS NOW:

MØURX

ALL QSL REQUESTS SHOULD BE SENT TO M0URX. PLEASE DO NOT SEND QSL REQUESTS TO ME - THEY ALL WILL BE FORWARDED TO Tim MØURX RESULTING IN DELAYS. THANK YOU!

ZS3Y Volker's new manager: NI5DX
