An Amateur Radio operator in Bowmanville since April 2007. At my regular day job, I am a Senior Network/IT Technician for IBM/Rogers Communications for the past 14 years. You will find me on the VE3OSH (147.120+), VE3SPA (147.375+) or VE3RTR (145.150-) repeaters. A member of the North Shore (Oshawa), Heritage (Cobourg) and IBM Amateur Radio Clubs.

I am active on the VHF/UHF repeaters, APRS (VA3DBJ/VA3DBJ-9) in the Durham Region, Toronto and
Northumberland area, also with CANWARN (via VE3RTR) and WA2IBM on EchoLink.

This is my home station or desk (below). Under the scanners is the Kenwood TM-V71 that I use for regular VHF/UHF communications. The Kenwood TM-V71 is a great radio. I also have a TM-D710 for the truck, that also runs the APRS with a SpectrumForce GPS unit.
  My main station area
To the extream left of the desk, is my APRS TCP/IP setup on a Panisonic CF-19 laptop using APRSIS/32 software (below). VA3DBJ is being used for the laptop setup and VA3DBJ-9 is being used on my mobile Kenwwod TM-D710. Also in the picture, is the BCD-996XT, BCD-396T and BC895XLT, which is used to monitor the area
communications. The BC-895XLT is used for monitorig the Military and the Durham Region Trunk system and general search. The BCD-396T is used to monitor the GO Transit and RCMP,
and the BC246T used to monitor the Weather Alert system.

Also pictured below, is my new JTB3 antenna, that was raised by another 10 feet, to about 35 feet above ground level. The old 2m/70cm antenna was lowered and is being used as a second scanner antenna. The discone antenna, is for the BC895XLT scanner.
