Hi Everyone
Had a great time operating my portable station from the Rocky Cape Lighthouse in N/W Tasmania, for the ILLW weekend. Made contacts with over 45 different lighthouses throughout Australia and overseas. Many DX contacts were made as well, including Germany, Ukraine, Romania, USA, Japan, Indonesia & others.
Using an ICOM 7200, 100w into a Terlin Outbacker with 12 x 6m ground radials, mounted on the roof of my trusty Land Rover 4 x 4
Note the 22Kv line nearby. Caused havoc in the rain on Saturday, but thems the breaks .
All in all had a really fun time. See you all next year !!
