Well, Hello. Originally licenesed as KI6EPQ, I found out from my father that my Great Uncle Henry "Hank" Culberson (the original W6JZL) was a ham way back when. Hank was a ham in England and contiuned the hobby after crossing the "pond". He built his own equipment and even built their very first television set including the cabinet. I have come into a few pictures and plan to post them as I can. He was one of the first responders to the sinking of the Anrdea Doria. Given the history I opted to take it as a vanity.  Someone in the family hopefully has the qsl card from the ship llne thanking him for his tireless efforts. Sure would like to have that to go with the collection of "his" original qsl cards.

Well, now about me. Plumber by trade and a goof off by nature. I work to live not live to work. I ejnoy RC airplanes (building and flying), photography, hunting, fishing, Nascar (Go Carl Edwards), ham radio and off roading. In fact we can be found many weekends in the Mojave desert, Borrego, Baja areas or anywhere else it's still not a crime to have fun. I can be found just about anytime on the Win System www.winsystem.org . I recently upgraded to General but am antenna challenged at the present time.

I run Kenwood x41 and x42 series mobiles and have a few HT's as well. Having the radio with me all day really is a lot of fun. I run around frequently from job to job and often times solo in the truck and the radio always makes it feel like I've got a lot of friends along for the ride.
