Licensed in 1991 as KC4UKR and turned Extra late 2008.
I'm primarily active on 10 Meters at 28.330 and am an active 10-10 participant in the M&M Net that meets Saturday Nights at 8:00 EST (0100 UTC) on 28.330MHz.
I can also be found roaming the bands around OMISS nets, especially 40 and 80 meters.
Rig is a Yaesu FT-950 running a 160M OCF Dipole for any band, and a 10M Vertical. I have a Hustler 6BTV ready to be put up, but am lacking a primary resource: TIME!
UPDATE: I've just gotten pretty hard and heavy into QRP. I've just acquired a Yaesu FT-817, and when 5 watts just isn't enough, I have a Tokyo High Power HL-45B 45 watt linear to get the job done!
You can find me on 20M SSB playing QRP usually around the QRP frequencies. I just acquired a pretty nice straight key at the Ellijay Hamfest in the North Georgia Mountains, and am hoping to brush up on my CW skills so that I can rack up more contacts with less power.
When I'm not operating from home, I'll have the FT-817 kit with me. When driving the roads in the truck, I'll be on 2 meters FM, or anywhere between 6 and 160, wherever the action is with my TS-480HX and Tarheel Model 300A screwdriver antenna.
