Back in 1977 when I was about 11 years old and because it was usual that most of the parents Christmas gifts will include some toys walkie talkies, begun my interest in radio communications.

Even though I wanted my father to gave me one ham radio station, all I received was a small 40 channel "CB". From that standing point and in a pursuit for better radios, mods, antennas and amplifiers, grew my desire to do "DX".

At that short age and without PC's, Internet, I-phones, Sat TV, Big Malls, etc, etc, etc, It was some sort of "magic" thinking that my voice would went from the mic and unto the the antenna and vanish there, but I would be able to talk to some one in another country hundreds or maybe thousands of miles away, that it might be daylight in home, while at the other end it was dark, learning diferent cultures, etc.

In 1983 I did my first license and from then on and as of today, my passion and that "magic" from the radios have not dissapeared from my hart.

Thanks to that hobby I have known a lot of friends and talking about them, I have to acknowledge a few friends that have been hand by hand with me in all of my projects: Mr. "W" NP3EW, Eliezer Rivera for the design, built of and maintenace of my amplifiers and antennas. WP4JSP, Jorge Santana for all of the wired antenna projects and for believing in the development of the double bazookas for what today we have baptized the "Big Mamma Project" WP4OCX, Raul Alvarez, for all of his wisdom and helping developing of all of the projects mentioned above.

Today I enjoy the most doing 10 meters SSB and FM as well. Also working 80 meters and soon to be the rest of the bands, as soon as the next multi band antenna be ready. I've been working LEO satellites with a handy talkie, whyle I do some budget for the next year 2mts & 70 cms circular polarized stacking antenna project.
