Like many (if they'll admit it) in Amateur Radio, I started on C.B.! As kids at the Great Lakes Naval Training Center, Illinois, my brother and I purchased HTs from Sears and enjoyed our first QSOs. After college in Los Angeles, I installed mobil CB radios in my vehicles, and continued ragchewing on 2 wheels and 4. From there, to VHF Marine radio, and now HAM radio; it's an interesting hobby. I am currently involved with Ventura County ARES/RACES. I use voice frequencies mostly on 6, 2, 220 and 440. James, WT6JS
