Ham Member Lookups: 1311

Hello. Thank you for looking me up. I have been a ham since the early 90's. I have been a fan a radio communication since I was a young child. My current radio set up includes an ICOM IC-730 (with an ICOM SM-5 microphone) powered by an ASTRON 20 power supply, a MFJ 949E Antenna tuner which is hooked up to an end fed long wire (25 ft feed line with a 50 foot radial) that is run as a slope antenna with the end of the radial hung in a tree approximately 40 feet up. I also have a 10 meter dipole that is approximately 50 feet above ground. For VHF I use an Yaesu ft1900r 2 meter radio and a baofeng UV-B5 dual band handy talkie. I was also blessed to win an Icom 880h at our club's latest Christmas party so I am learning how to use the Dstar system. I also use my ICOM IC-730 in a mobile configuration using a MACH 10 firestick (4 ft. fiberglass antenna) mounted to a 6 inch magnetic mount.  When I am not near my actual radio equipment, I enjoy using my Android phone to access repeaters all over the world using the Echolink system. You can reach our local repeater through Echolink by searching for wb5hup in your Echolink app. Amature radio is a facinating hobby and I am always learning new things. Thanks again for looking me up. I hope that you are enjoying Ham radio as much as I am. 73's!
