If you are looking me up, you likely heard my weak signal.

I operate QRP (contests) or QRPx2 (otherwise) from my 5th floor balcony in downtown Decatur, Georgia USA. Decatur is a small city 5 miles (8 km) east of downtown Atlanta.  Conditions are suboptimal, but that makes it fun.  I mostly operate digital modes (PSK, RTTY, JT65) and some CW, using a KX3 and a B&W AP10A apartment-style antenna (whip w tunable coil). If I am portable, I am usualling using an end-fed wire in a tree.  Grid is EM73us.

I sometimes operate from Blue Ridge, GA, where I have a doublet antenna in the trees optimized for 40m. I make a lot more contacts when I am there! Grid is EM74ut.

I am a Professor at Georgia Tech (Electrical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering).  Also a member of W4AQL (Georgia Tech Amateur Radio Club). I like to build stuff -- currently playing with a variety of Arduino and RaspPi projects.

My previous callsign was KM4FPQ.  I switched to KM4MK due to its ease and sound in CW.

QSLs:  I upload all my QSOs to LoTW and eQSL.  I don't download -- I just let the system reconcile contacts.  LoTW logs are downloaded to QRZ.com logbook a few times per year.

Paper QSLs: Not expected, not required, but I *do* like them.  US: if you take the time to send me one, I'll send one back! No envelope or postage required.  If I find the time and you asked or your QRZ page sounds like you'll return one, I may also send one to you first.  DX: If requested, I'll send via bureau.  I *may* send you a self-addressed-stamped-envelope, but if you send a self-addressed-stamped envelope to me I will be sure to use it and return a QSL card.
