Welcome to my qrz.com homepage!

Currently, I am

  • designing and implementing creative morse keys
  • practicing CW
  • active at SOTA
  • actively participating at Metafunk (ADL 319)
  • listening and reading about amateur radio

Recently ...

... I started participating in contests:

         Nov 7th: Marconi Contest (2 m CW)

         Oct 30th/Nov 1st:   RUS-WW-MM (20/40/80m CW)

October 24-25: CQ World Wide DX Contest (40/80 m SSB)

... I passed the official CW exam - so from now on I am a certified telegraphist :-)

... I did 5 hours of CW in 2 days at the Metafunk club station in Lindabrunn

... I went to Ham Radio in Friedrichshafen

... bought my first real shack rig: a yaesu ft-857

... I managed to be qrv on short wave at my home qth (see impressions below)
 - Thanks OE3EMB, OE1TKW, OE3VBU, and OE1RHC for guidance, patience and tree climbing :-)

I am actively participating in the "Night Owl Round" using the Kahlenberg repeater back home in Vienna. High time is between 2200 and 2300 UTC. Echolink users from all over the world are always welcome there :-)

Please be patient if you don't get through. QSO's often get so excited that breaking in is a challenge ;-) .

------

Whenever free, I am participating in the Vienna Monday CW circle - starting 20.00 local time on 144.075.

-----

SOTA (Summits on the Air) offers good propagation conditions.
