Name here is Megan McClellan. Licensed in 2004 as KE5BSZ.I upgraded to General in April of 2013. I am originally from Texas. I am currently enrolled at the University of Oklahoma in Norman. I am majoring in Meteorology with a General Business Minor. I am the president for the University of Oklahoma Student Amateur Radio Club - W5TC. We currently have a DSTAR system placed in the National Weather Center in Norman. It has been there since Summer 2011. For more information on the Oklahoma club please look at: www.w5tc.org
I have also served as Assistant Section Manager of Youth for the North Texas Section. At Ham-Com every year, there is a youth lounge. This lounge works to show youth different sides of amateur radio and teach them different things. I am currently the coordinator of the Youth Lounge at Dayton Hamvention and loving every minute of it.
In general, I love hanging out with my mom and dad, K5LRM and N5MIJ respectively, and playing on the HF side of things. I originally got started in Ham Radio thanks to Field Day and DSTAR. I enjoy contesting and I am currently learning the PSK31 side of amateur radio.
I go to Dayton and Ham-Com almost every year - you can normally find me in the Youth area or with the K5TIT group.
If you decide you want to talk to me about any number of things - I am reachable by email or by twitter @megank5mem.
