ATTENTION PLEASE-

AS OF SEPTEMBER 3, 2014, I WAS NO LONGER IN LAWTON/FORT SILL OKLAHOMA. I AM CURRENTLY AT THE ADDRESS LISTED ABOVE. IF WE MADE A CONTACT BEFORE SEPTEMBER 3, 2014, THE QSO WILL BE FOR LAWTON OKLAHOMA. IF YOU NEED/WANT A CARD FOR OKLAHOMA, JUST SEND IT TO THE ADDRESS ABOVE WITH A NOTE THAT IT IS FOR OKLAHOMA AND I WILL GET YOU ONE BACK AS I HAVE KEPT MY OKLAHOMA QSL CARDS JUST FOR THIS REASON.  THANK YOU.

I am originally and PROUDLY from the GREAT state of Wyoming, city of Cody up by beautiful Yellowstone National Park. I retired from Active Duty U.S. Army on December 1, 2014 and moved back to my home town of Cody Wyoming.  I got into the hobby by way of my dad, KB7CSV Earl "Pappy" Holder out of Cody Wy, and got my first ticket at 13 years old as KB7MXE. Later on I joined the Army and with all my travels to the far corners of the earth, I let my ticket expire and was off the air for a long time. Decided I was out long enough and missed way to much fun time so I re-tested so I could get back in the game and here I am and my license will NEVER expire again. I enjoy HF DX and local/DX 2m/70cm QSO using the IRLP/EchoLink. I also play in the digital world from time to time. I also like participating in SKYWARN, RACES and ARES activities. Learned a lot about RACES from my dad when I was young. He served as a Net Control for years and passed on the knowledge. I serve as Net Control on Tuesday evenings for the Wyoming Cowboy Net which is held Monday thru Friday at 0045Z on 3.923.50MHz, everyone is welcome to join us. I like spending time in the mountains much the same as I did as a kid where I spent just about ALL my free time. Can't beat the freedom you get from the mountains. And I also want to say that I truly appreciate the support of my sister JoDee (KB7CSX) and my dad Earl "Pappy" (KB7CSV), I cannot thank you enough for what you did for me and how you supported me throughout my 22 year career in the U.S. Army...it will never be forgotten. So that’s about it. Feel free to drop me a line my e-mail is above. Enjoy Ham Radio and Happy Hamming, I wish you best DX and I am very happy to have you in my log and look forward to the next QSO!!!

I also act as the Net Control Station for the REFLECTOR 61 Bravo Truckers, Travelers and RV’ers D-Star Net.  ALL licensed amateurs are welcome to check in and encouraged to do so, whether it be from out on the road in whatever fashion, or sittin in your shack at home. This REF was stood up on April 1st 2017 for the purpose of having a place for people out on the road to hang out and share stories, technical stuff, road/WX conditions and reports or whatever and get some good old fashioned rag chewing in. We do have a Facebook page, search for D Star REF061 Bravo, give a like and follow us and see where all we end up. Feel free to share pictures and/or stories of what you see or are involved with while you are out on the road. Again, our REF is open to ALL Amateurs ALL the time across the globe. Stop in and "ride along". Our weekly net is held at 0000UTC/ 6:00 P.M. MST. I also listen on our KG7PRH repeater that sits on XRF 307 C.

I like to paper QSL and I do paper QSL most of my contacts. If you specifically need one or want one let me know and I will gladly get you one....I DO NOT need any envelopes or postage...just send one and you will get one back...or you will receive one and you can do whatever with it. I also use LoTW and eQSL for everyone else on the digital side of QSLing. I upload at the end of my "radio" day when I am on the air, so you won't have to wait long for a digital confirmation.

I like to set up skeds for stations who need Wyoming. We can sometimes be hard to get out here HiHi. I have received many emails and had many Ops jump in a QSO when they hear me on asking for help with Wyoming, so,  If you or someone you know needs Wyoming for a contact, shoot me an email or jump in if you happen to hear me in a QSO somewhere and I will gladly help you get Wyoming confirmed in your log.
