I mainly enjoy DXing, contesting, and mobile CW. Outside of contests you're most likely to hear me operating mobile CW w/ my Icom IC-7000.

Please QSL via LoTW or direct.
I seldom send QSLs via the bureau. I send QSLs for all contest operations via GlobalQSL and LoTW

I got my original ham license (KA3FWS) in 1980 as a high school student in Philadelphia. Upgraded to Technician, General, Advanced and then Extra by 1983 - I took all those exams at the Federal Building in Philadelphia back when the FCC still administered the license exams. I've held my current call (KM3T) since 1983.

I've been very active in VHF and DX contesting since 1981.  I've helped build and put winning contesting teams together for a variety of multi-op stations, and have also done well as a single-op contester. I've been involved in one way or another with the following contest stations:

HF: KC1XX, K3LR, K5ZD, HC8N, ZF2PR, K1CA (ex-K1MNS), K2TR, K1VR, W3LPL, N2RM, N3RS, W3BGN, W3GM, N3AD, and N3KZ .

VHF: K8GP, K1TR/3, K1TR/1, W2SZ/1, K3MTK, WC2K, K2NE

Life Member of ARRL
Member: YCCC, CW Ops #50
Former member of FRC, PVRC

I was on the WRTC2014 Board of Directors, in charge of all WRTC2014 IT functions, including the Live Scoreboard.  I assisted with several other aspects of WRTC2014 planning, including fundraising and site selection/evaluation.

In 2003 I founded and continue to operate the popular aviation web site LiveATC.net- if you are a ham and near an airport, please consider becoming a feed volunteer! All you need is a spare scanner and an audio cable to connect to your computer. I can help get you set up.

I also assist with the operation of the Reverse Beacon Network (RBN) - both as a Skimmer Server operator and with technical contributions to the network.

Other licenses held: Private Pilot w/ Instrument Rating

Previous calls: KA3FWS (1980) N3BMH KC3EA (1981-1983)
