Hi and thanks for dropping by.
Been into radio since I was 6 yrs old starting off on good old CB and spent a lot of years of and on the band, it wasn't until a few years ago now I decided to move up onto Amateur bands and I love it. I'm a member of the RSGB, UKSMG #2719, GQRP #13571, WAB book #19286 and a "friend of" BARTG, my local club is Stockton and district ARG, our call sign is G4XXG (also listed on QRZ.com) we meet on Wednesdays 1930 - 2100
I'm normally heard via GB3IR, MB7ISC (which is connected to the Irish conference) or MB7IMR. I've just got a mobile HF antenna which I'm hopefully going to be using for working /M /P for WAB. I use SSB and Datamodes predominantly PSK on HF as well as FM on 6/2m but this is going to extend to data modes in the near future then hopefully CW.
I've had a go at VHF/HF contesting and will be able to improve on this years (2010) performance. I can only hope...!
A few pics of my last mobile HF/VHF op.
The QTH was Danby Beacon in the North York Moors...about 30 - 40 mins drive from my house.

Antennas are a converted mobile antenna for 2/70 band and a 20m long wire mounted "Lazy Z" in my loft
So hopefully catch you on the air sometime or even at an expo or rally...you never know.
I have my own blog (listed in my details section) which I update whenever I can (usually on a Sunday after a weekend of playing radio) feel free to have a look and sign the guest book for me.
Could I please ask that you sign up to the DX CODE OF CONDUCT at http://dx-code.org/dxcode4.htm to promote better DX operating for the good of the hobby
I can also be contacted via echolink, my node number is:- 341837 (only available when using Echolink on PC)
Thanks again for dropping by
