Importing From an ADIF File
ADIF stands for Amateur Data Interchange Format, and it is the accepted standard for QSO logs. The standard is maintained by ADIF.org and is updated frequently. QRZ is a member of the organization, and we follow the ADIF standard, which includes data objects and acceptable values that they may contain.
ADIF files containing QSO records may be imported directly into a logbook. Duplicate checking will take place during all phases of data movement.
- Open the selected logbook.
- Click on the "Import/Export Tools"(1) button in the top right corner and choose "Import from ADI File"(2)
- Click "Choose File"(1) (depending on your browser, the exact label for this button may vary). Once you have chosen the ADI file to import, click "Import ADI File"(2)
Notes:
- Imported duplicates will replace existing records
- Imported duplicates are ignored if the existing record has already been confirmed.
- Duplicates are defined as records with matching callsigns, mode, band, and date/time within a +/-30 minutes window.
- All time and date fields are assumed to be UTC.
